64th Annual Gold Star Wives National Convention 2009
Holiday Inn Laguna Hills California, July 15-19, 2009

The 2009 GSW National Convention is at the Holiday Inn Laguna Hills Hotel located in South Orange County, CA from July 15 through July 19, 2009.

Registration for members of the Board of Directors will start around noon on Wednesday, July 15.  The final Board of Directors meeting of 2008-2009 will be on Thursday and on Friday until Noon.  The first Board of Directors meeting for 2009-2010 will be Sunday morning.

General membership registration starts at 8:00 AM on July 17, and the Business Session for the general membership starts at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 17.  The last event of the Convention for the general membership is Saturday evening

You can begin planning your stay now. The rate for a single or double room is $119 plus taxes. This rate is 3 days prior to the Convention dates and 3 days after the Convention dates. The Hotel is half-way between Los Angeles and San Diego, off Interstate 5 at the La Paz exit, with easy access to the John Wayne Orange County Airport, Irvine Spectrum Airport, Mission Viejo Airport, Aliso Viejo Airport and Rancho Santa Margarita Airport.

The Holiday Inn Laguna Hills has a free shuttle that picks up at the John Wayne Orange County Airport.

 The other airports in the area are Long Beach, CA; Los Angeles (LAX) and Ontario where the Supper Shuttle (Blue VAN) http://www.supershuttle.com or 1-800-BLUE-VAN (1-800-258-3826) or an Executive Limo can be arranged for transportation to and from the hotel.
