Harriet Boyden and Nancy PeppersThe Membership Chair is to promote GSW and promote programs to increase membership using social media, partnerships with other Organizations and forming a committee made up of members of each Region. The Membership Retention Chair is to assist in reminding GSW members to renew their membership. The Administrator sends out two renewal statements to members, but if the GSW member does not renew after the second statement, the administrator will send the Membership Chair the non-renewal list per month with the GSW name; address; phone number; birth date and email address. The Membership Retention Chair will either write a personal letter on yellow paper or compose a personal letter on GSW letterhead using yellow paper and send the letter by USPS to the GSW member and encourage renewal of membership. The letterhead will have the name; address; phone number and email address of the Membership Retention Chair. The letter will also contain the ages; amounts; address and phone number for credit card renewals or for other questions. Lifetime membership is encouraged. If the letter is returned, the Membership Chair can either email and attach a copy of the letter and call the member to keep her membership. The Membership Chair is responsible for notifying the administrator on a monthly basis changes of addresses; death notification and returned ‘unable to deliver’ letters. The Membership Retention Chair is required to send an annual report to the Board Chair and to the Convention Coordinator. The Membership Retention Chair is required to attend all Convention Board meetings and participate in all Board Conference calls. |
