Valerie Morey

The Veterans Administration Voluntary Service (VAVS) and Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE) National Certifying Officer is appointed by the National Board Chair at the first board meeting. The VAVS/CDCE Officer is responsible for certifying Representatives and Deputies to each VAVS Medical Center in which Gold Star Wives of America, Inc. has volunteers. She is the point of contact to the Veterans Administration Voluntary Service (VAVS) and Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE), will attend the National Advisory Council (NAC) meeting each year.

The VAVS/CDCE Officer is responsible for collecting all VA volunteer forms from GSW members and consolidating them to report to the VA, the GSW National Convention, and for representation of those numbers to Congress.
