WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, House Armed Services Committee Chairman Adam Smith (D-Wash.) will host a press conference with Representative John Yarmuth, veterans’ advocates, and surviving spouses to discuss the repeal of the “widow’s tax” in the final conference report for the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020.
